Download Wondershare DVD Slideshow Builder to install and run after finished. In the Slideshow tab, import your prepared photo and video into the program through the Add Photo/Video button. If required, edit the imported photo/video using the built-in tools issued by double-clicking photo/video thumbnails on Storyboard. See below to learn how to import these media sources. And double-click the added music file to add new year songs to match your new year slideshow.
You could display your New Year wishes on photo while playing the New Year slideshow. To add subtitle, please follow the these steps:
1. Switch to Timeline view and locate the photo to which you intend to add subtitle.
2. Double click on Subtitle Track to bring up the Add Subtitle window (see below).
3. Click OK after you have input text and made settings, such as Effect, Font, Size, Color, etc.
Only If you want to burn your New Year slideshow onto DVD, SVCD, VCD Disc, is it necessary to configure a professional menu. After switching to Menu tab, simply double-click the New Year DVD menu template on the left hand side to apply it to your New Year slideshow.

Note that you need to specify the save path if you select a video format. It will take some time for the program to generate the final new year slideshow, which depends on the video length. If you choose to create your new year slideshow into video formats, you can then upload it to YouTube and share with others by sending the URL. Prior to that, you may need to sign up in YouTube.

Tips:
1. You can set desired photo thumbnail as the New Year slideshow thumbnail on DVD menu by right-clicking a photo thumbnail on Storyboard and selecting "Set as Thumbnail" in the resulting right menu. Or the first photo thumbnail would be used.
2. If you choose to output your New Year slideshow as video formats, the menu would not be generated even through you have applied a menu template. Likewise, you will not preview the menu once you have previously selected a video format in the output format drop-down list.
3. It's available to specify background music to your DVD menu. You can define it just under the work area in Menu tab.
