How to Make a Birthday Video Slideshow with Music
Step 1: Import your Birthday photos/video and music
Download Wondershare DVD Slideshow Builder and install it. In the Slideshow tab, you can import your prepared photo and video into the program through the Add Photo/Video button. And if required, you can also edit the imported photo/video using the built-in tools issued by double-clicking photo/video thumbnails on Storyboard.
Creating a Birthday photo slideshow with music will captivate your audience more easily. You are recommended to make a Birthday photo slideshow by adding traditional Birthday songs. See below to learn how to add background music. If required, double-click the added music file in the music table to trim it so as to match your slideshow.
Step 2: Change transition or motion effect for birthday photos
By default, once you import photo/video, random transition effects would be applied automatically. However, you can change them as follow, and add motion effect if you want.
The Ken-Burns (Pan/Zoom) effects brings your still image to life, and like a real movie, animated enough to get more fun from birthday photos. You could also custom your own motion to focus on special spot on the birthday photo, say the bithday cake. To do so, right click on photos and select "Customize Motion".
Step 3: DVD menu for Birhday Video DVD from template
Only If you want to burn your Birthday slideshow onto DVD, SVCD, VCD Disc, is it necessary to configure a personalized menu. After switching to Menu tab, you could find DVD menu templates on the left hand side. For birthday DVD menu template, go to Occasion -> Birthday in the Category list. You need to download desired menu template before using it.
Step 4: Burn DVD or create Birthday video
It's time now to burn your Birthday slideshow onto disc or create video in various formats. See the screenshot below:
Note that you need to specify the save path if you select a video format. It will take some time for the program to generate the final Birthday slideshow, which depends on the video length. If you choose to create your Birthday slideshow into video formats, you can then upload it to YouTube and share with others by sending the URL. Prior to that, you may need to sign up in YouTube.
Birthday Video Making Tips:
- You can set desired photo thumbnail as the Birthday slideshow thumbnail on DVD menu by right-clicking the thumbnail on Menu editing workspace and select "Change Thumbnail".
- If you choose to output your Birthday slideshow as video formats, the menu would not be generated even through you have applied a menu template.
- It's available to specify background music to your DVD menu. You can define it just under the work area in Menu tab.
